For the single station of double head spot welder or combination machine for ears and handle, all the cans are fed into the spot welding station and detect by the indexer, then orientated by the rotating disc and sensor of indexer. In this article, we will explain the know how of orientation.
For the paint cans or conical pails, the can body are welded with lugs and attached with handle, in order to keep the format consistent in standardized production, the lugs of metal container should be welded in the same position. For the three piece metal containers, our machine can detect the weld seam position and weld the lugs in the same position.
For the orientation of weld seam, we use disc to rotate the cans, and the color mark sensor will detect the whole circle of cans in diameter direction. Because the color of weld seam is different from other position of cans, when the weld seam is rotated to the color mark sensor, the disc will stop rotate and the cans is positioned.
