Metal Packaging is made of two main types of materials, namely aluminum and thin steel sheets, also called tin. The surfaces of the steel sheets are covered with tin and organic lacquers to prevent the steel from coming into direct contact with food. Thus, it is produced as corrosion-resistant metal packaging.

Today, the ability to give desired shapes to metal materials with modern production techniques and advanced machines, the development of easy-opening lids, various outer surface designs, high durability and sealing feature are important factors in the preference of metal packaging.

Metal packaging is also used for packaging products such as paints and chemicals other than food. Metal packaging creates a strong barrier against light, air and water. It is sufficiently robust and resistant to insects and rodents. It is widely used in terms of being able to heat for sterilization and cooling immediately, and if it is processed properly using appropriate lacquers, it does not react harmfully with the product inside.

Metal cans are used very often, especially for the packaging of canned goods that are expected to last for a long time. Especially in the food and beverage markets, the use of metal packaging has doubled in the last ten years.

Metal, which was once only a technical component of packaging, has now turned into a brand new packaging material in perfumery and cosmetics. The reason for this change is the developments in metal decoration techniques in recent years.
