Duplex gang rotary slitter machine maintenance

Common problems and troubleshooting methods of duplex slitter are as follows:

(1) Adjustment method of wheel cutter spacing for shearing different product specifications: Taking the tangent line of the first pair of upper and lower knives on the left as the reference, first loosen the knife seat bolts that fix the remaining wheel cutters, move each pair of wheel cutters in sequence according to the required cutting size of the product and adjust the position (use a feeler gauge to set the upper and lower wheel cutter blade gap), and lock the knife seat to position the wheel cutters; then adjust the position and spacing of the relevant material receiving guide groove or guide rod to meet production needs.

(2) When the sheet material specifications change, it is necessary to adjust the corresponding positioning side gauge position and the magnetic sheeting device position of the feed rack to meet normal production.

(3) The deviation range of width and height exceeds the standard, mainly by adjusting the spacing between the wheel knives to meet the predetermined requirements. Usually the deviation requires the can body circumference L±0.05mm and the can body height H±0.10mm.

(4) The burrs of the cut are too large and exceed the standard. It is mainly to adjust the gap between the upper and lower wheel knives and the grinding of the blunt edge of the blade. Usually the gap between the upper and lower blades is required to be 0.02~0.03mm, the blade is required to be smooth and continuous without notches, and the burrs of the cut are required to be ≤0.15Tb (Tb is the thickness of the can body iron sheet); at the same time, pay attention to maintaining the correctness of the burr direction, the circular direction (the burr should be located on the inner side of the can body overlap), and the can height direction (the burr should avoid being located on the inner side of the can body aluminum cover side), which is conducive to ensuring the quality of the weld and ensuring the sealing of the double curling of the aluminum bottom/cover.

(5) The straightness exceeds the standard (beveled slices), mainly because the positioning edge is not perpendicular to the wheel cutter axis or there is a front and rear delay and uneven thrust between the double push claws of the feeding slices. You can visually check whether the width of the front and rear ends of the scrap edge material is large or take small slices on the left and right sides to check whether there is a difference in the diagonal angle. You can also use a straightness meter to accurately detect the deviation value; the straightness usually requires that the absolute value deviation between the cutting edge measurement value and the reference value measured at 100mm in the vertical direction of the fixed edge is ≤0.10mm.

(6) The left and right sizes of the welding reserved edges are uneven and the deviation is too large. Adjust the positioning edge position to reasonably distribute the width of the scrap edge on both sides. In addition, the pressure tightness of the pushing edge should be adjusted moderately to avoid causing the knife to expand or positioning failure. It must be pointed out that only by ensuring the cutting quality of the can body plate can the quality of the weld be better ensured.
